Best Guitar Amp for all effects?

what's the best guitar amp out there? I'm looking for one with awesome distortion so that it's great for punk and metal, but it also has to have a pretty clean sound. In other words, what's the best damn amplifier out there? One that totally blows you away? Price range $150-1500
