Can you add an overdrive pedal before the distortion pedal?

Well put Lucas...one thumbs up for you sir. Also different distortion pedals have totally different sounds so there is nothing wrong with adding another distortion pedal to the one you have now. The Fulltone OCD is a great sounding pedal you might want to try out, but there are tons of great ones out there. I use a RAT, OCD and Full-Drive II (sometimes a Metal Zone), they all do a different job and have a different tone.
